We’re all guilty of it. Because none of us are short on things that have to get done every day. But, with the advancement of affordable tools that make extending our radio brands online much more manageable, we can all carve out a little time each day to create some digital content. Especially on-air personalities who are already creating daily on-air content, but really all of us regardless of job title or role. Like I’ve said before, digital content creation is a team sport. Here are a few specific ways to use new, inexpensive tools to crank out bigger, better content more often.
Riverside, the platform I use to record my podcast, Radio Influencers, just added a feature that opens up a lot of fun possibilities for content creators. In addition to the magic clips their built in AI pulls for anything you record over five minutes; you can now animate those clips. Here are a few examples.
If we add cameras in the studio, or even just use our iPhones with the Riverside app, we could use this feature to create characters or just make our ‘in case you missed it’ promo clips more interesting for social media. Are they perfect, no but in six weeks they likely will be.
Need to blog but you’re not a writer? Use Radio Content Pro to blog for you. It does ALL the heavy lifting and now that they’ve added Local Beat, it will even localize it for you. So, all you have to do is add a line or two to personalize it and make it your own. Too busy to do that? Use Ava, the built in AI that’s trained on radio, to do that for you.
Quso.AI is another site we use to pull additional reels for social for videos we create in-house. But, we also recently started using their AI influencers to quickly create hosted video content for some of our clients as well. Here are two examples.
On the AI generated video front there’s been a massive development recently with the release of Google VEO 3. On this week’s episode of Radio Influencers ‘Scary AI Quotes & Google VEO 3″ I showed multiple examples and gave my thoughts on it. Here’s a clip.
Need help creating specific header images for blog posts? There are a few sites we use for that, Leonardo.AI and Envato Elements AI Lab.
There are multiple other tools out there that make creating content easier and more affordable with the limited staff we all have now. Yet, there are still way too many radio people who continue to refuse to create any digital content at all. Some of the main excuses I hear are, they don’t have time (use AI to free up that time), the cost (no longer a barrier for entry) and what’s the point because of how crowded the digital space is already (this one is true, however, who better to stand out in that crowd than a professionally trained broadcaster).
