I’m a mom and have a full time job, but work from home part time. You can imagine how chaotic my days have been lately. Now that Christmas is over, I’m looking at a house that was once clean, littered with games, toys, clothes, blankets, holiday treats…you name it, it’s out. Don’t get me wrong! I love the Christmas spirit and watching these kiddos go HAM on the presents and the excitement of getting what they really wanted! But it’s a lot. Especially for those who do, pretty much, everything. I was just thinking, “Good Lord I need a break.” I’m sure I’m not the only one with a quiet hotel room on the mind, the chance to sit down and eat a dinner I wanted for a change, and just sit in peace. Why not give a few away!!

After NYE, hotel prices will drop quite a bit. Everyone is back home, the hustle and bustle of running through airports is over, and we are all in our respective places. That is when the staycation can really take place. Give a few Holiday Hangover Hotel Rooms away! Include a gift card to a nearby, nice restaurant. You can even include a spa package from a local retailer that has bath bombs, masks, lotions, candles… This is an incredible package for a deserving person.

Take suggestions from listeners on who should win. Have kids write in about their moms or dads, spouses write in about their spouses, or friends write in about their friends! Read one every morning. Have a section on your website dedicated to this promotion. Put up a few lines from each entry. Remember to keep the person anonymous. You can do this for a few weeks. At the end, put up a poll on the website with the names of each entry. Again, not their actual name, but a nickname for the entry like “Busy mom.” Have the listeners go to the website to cast their vote in the poll.

Sales: sell the hotel, sell the restaurant, sell the spa package, sell sponsorships on air and on the website. There are lots of opportunities to make this lucrative for you.

This would be an easy way to gain traffic on the website and even callers on air. It’s an easy promotion to execute with little budget.
